Throughout my working life, both prior to and during my time as a Clinical Psychologist, I have developed a wealth of experience working collaboratively with people from many different professional backgrounds to help them in their work with clients, colleagues and systems. I offer the following professional services to individuals and organisations involved in health, social care and beyond.
Reflective Practice
Working in health and social care can be challenging; Reflective Practice sessions can provide an opportunity to explore the emotional impact of the work, to gain greater insight into the psychological processes that may be at work and to increase confidence and skill.
Teaching & Training
I have experience of providing teaching and training on a number of psychological topics to mental health, social care and other professionals, as well as students and trainees. Increasing the knowledge, skill and confidence of staff to work in a psychologically-informed way can help to increase motivation and empathy, making working lives more fulfilling.
Supervision
I am an experienced supervisor and can provide supervision in Clinical Psychology in line with personal and professional needs.
Consultation
Many organisations and professions can benefit from thinking in a psychologically-informed way to help improve the wellbeing and resilience of their staff. Consultation can provide a supportive and informative way of seeing issues and potential solutions from a new perspective.
These services can be tailored to your requirements and may involve one or a combination of the services above. Work of this kind is available either as a 'one-off' piece of work or on a more regular basis.
